Selhurst Traincare Depot

26 July 2017 following on from our Christmas 2016 lunch there was considerable interest expressed in visiting a working train depot. With help from Dudley and John Robinson, Chaplain and guest speaker at our Christmas lunch, we managed to secure a visit to the Selhurst Traincare Depot, the largest in Western Europe. Our visit included seeing the Cleaning shed, the Repair shed, the Maintenance shed and being shunted around the depot on a Class 377 Electrostar. We were looked after very well by the staff and had an excellent day, 11 members and friends of MiRaCle attended. We would like to thank the staff and Southern Railway who looked after us. What an excellent day. Our attendees were Roger, Hon Sec, Len SAAL, Brian, Jackie & Jim L members along with Tony, John, Colin, Dennis and Pam + Jim The President. We travelled down from London Bridge on a Southern service to Selhurst.
