Oxford Circular

24 Oct 2018 MiRaCle members & friends met at London Paddington for our journey to Oxford. This was our first experience travelling on the Class 800 Intercity Express Train in GWR livery. A very good turnout with Roger, Hon Sec; Len, SAAL; Brian; Patrick; Colin; Tim, Malcolm, Bob & Jim, President. Lunch was taken at the pub called the Punter which is adjacent to the River Thames. The majority of us then made our way into the city centre of Oxford where we saw various college quadrangles. Our return journey was on Chiltern Railways turbo diesel class 168 via Bicester Town, High Wycombe and back to London Marylebone with some lively running, excellent service. We then returned to our various home destinations. A very good day out and hence circular with our route!
