Our 1st MiRaCle trip since February 2020 on Tues 21 September 2021 to Lincoln. 5 of us (Roger, Hon Sec; Len, SAAL; Tim; Patrick and Jim, The President) started out from Kings Cross on the 08.06 LNER Azuma service to Lincoln. Malcolm joined us at Peterborough and Dudley met us at Newark North Gate where our service diverted off the East Coast main line to Lincoln. Explored the city especially going up to the castle and near to the Cathedral. Lunch was taken at the Wig & Mitre. James (Len's old school chum friend) was our guide for the day. After descending Steep Hill we returned on the 15.27 LNER Azuma service back to Kings Cross, Dudley returned back to York on a separate LNER service. We then met with Colin who joined us for dinner at Carluccio's St Pancras International next door to Kings X. A very enjoyable day out and weather was kind to us.
